Quebec Skilled worker

The Quebec Skilled Worker Program is a points-based initiative, operated separately from the government of Canada’s own programs for skilled workers. Successful applicants may bring accompanying family members to Quebec, and a job offer is not required.

Quebec's incoming Expression of Interest (Déclaration d'intérêt) system will manage immigration to Quebec through its Quebec Skilled Worker Program.

A Quebec Skilled Worker Program passing score is based on the Quebec Skilled Worker program points grid which assigns a maximum of 120 points based on nine factors:

  • Education and training
  • Skilled work experience
  • Age
  • Proficiency in French or English
  • Stay and Family in Quebec
  • Spouse/common-law partner characteristics
  • Valid job offer
  • Accompanying children
  • Financial self-sufficiency

Candidate invited to apply to the Quebec Skilled Worker Program must meet education and financial self-sufficiency points requirements and are screened according to Employability and Selection factors. The cut-off score is 43 points (or 52 points if accompanied by a spouse or common-law partner) under the specified Employability factors.

Those invited to apply must meet the cut-off score requirement and are screened according to a series of Selection factors. A minimum passing score of 50 (59 if accompanied by a spouse or common-law partner) is required under the Selection factors in order to submit an application for a CSQ.
