study in Canada

Steps to Study

 Canada has more than 400,000 international students currently enrolled in study programs across the country. Not only can people who choose to study in Canada benefit from a world-class education — students and graduates are also set on a path that may lead to incredible career opportunities and permanent settlement in Canada.

  • Select a Program and school that suits your interests.
  • Find out how much it cost to study in Canada based on the choice selected.
  • Determine study permit and other document requirements to enter Canada.
  • Explore Scholarship available for high achieving international students and researchers.
  • Learn about work and study opportunities for students and graduates.

In order to be eligible for a Canada study permit, prospective students must:

  • obtain a letter of acceptance from a DLI;
  • prove enough funds to cover the first year of tuition, as well as living expenses and return transportation;
  • satisfy Canadian immigration authorities that they will leave Canada at the end of the period authorized by the study permit; and
  • be admissible to Canada (police background checks and/or a medical may be request).

 International students in Canada with a Study Permit who are enrolled full-time in a Designated Learning International (DLI), can work off campus without a work permit. This means you can work for any employer in any occupation anywhere in Canada. International students can also work on campus if they wish.
